Long Road

By: Julie Ching *Aiko Takashi*

-CHAPTER 14-

[This is your host, Aiko ^_^ gomen nasai minna-san! I shall do a rewind! On Ryohei and Hisa’s relationship.  Back to the time when w-inds. came to visit!]

*SMACK* “AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! IT HURTS ON THE INHUMANITY I FEEL LIKE SOMEONE JUST SMACKED ME WITH A LOG AT FULL SPEED!!!!! GOOD GOD!! KAMI-SAMA!”

Hisa looked around, “Ugh! What did Haniko do now…”  She walked to the door to see Haniko screaming in agony.

“Hani are you done with your outburst.  It isn’t polite to leave guest outside your doorway.”  Hani moved out of the way slowly and walked to the kitchen to see if she was forming a bruise.  On the other hand the guys slowly stepped in with Ryuichi laughing madly at what just happened.  Ryohei was turning red trying to hold it in and Keita was laughing with Ryuichi.

“Men, honestly aren’t you even worried for her?”  Hisa walked to the kitchen and saw Haniko hunched over slightly worried that her friend was upset.  As she touched her shoulder she realized she was shaking.  “Ne, Daijobu Haniko-chan?”

“I want them out of the house.”

“Haniko…”

“Daijobu!”

“I’ll see what I can do.” Hisa looked at Haniko with a worried look.  As she walked back out she realized that Keita wasn’t there anymore and all she saw was Ryohei and Ryuichi sitting making themselves as comfortable as possible.  She looked around hoping to spot Keita to make sure he doesn’t disturb Haniko but it was hard to spot him.  She slowly sat herself next to Ryohei and turned on the tv.

“Sorry we ran out of tea, but if anyone wants a soda you could tell me I’ll get anyone one.”  She looked at the two guest.

“Iie, arigato for asking Hisa, how is Chiko doing?”  Ryuichi asked Hisa innocently.

“She’s doing much better.  If you want you can go upstairs to check on her she should be sleeping so don’t disturb her too much.  Shes sensitive to noises too much noise could easily wake up.”  As Ryuichi crept up to see Chiko, Hisa and Ryohei sat in the living room just enjoying each others company and watching television.

“Ryohei…”

“Yes…” Hisa turned bright red and turned her head away.

“MmMmmmm…” Slowly Ryohei turned his head to look at Hisa to see what was wrong.

“Daijobu?”

“I-iie… I…” Hisa thought to herself annoyingly, ‘DORK JUST ASK HIM!’

“…Do you have something to say?”

“I LOVE PUPPIES!!!!!” Hisa starred at Ryohei with a weird look which slowly turned to pure horror. ‘DID I JUST SAY THAT TO HIM… OH MAN… OH MAN… I’M SUCH AN IDIOT.’ She started to sweat while Ryohei sat there with a confused look.

“Dah…” Ryohei looked on, “I love puppies too…”

“That’s not what I meant to say.”

“What?”

“I’M IN LOVE.”

“Ok….. I see….”  Ryohei was started to wonder about Hisa.  Maybe she caught Chiko’s fever.  “Ne, Hisa-chan… are you sick?” He lifted his hand to feel her forehead. It wasn’t hot.  It seemed normal.  He compared it to his forehead and inched closer. “Daijo-“ Hisa couldn’t take it any longer she lifted her head a bit and kissed him fully on the lips.

[ AN: Say it with me now! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW how CUTE!!!!
Ryohei: I called that bold.
AN: I call you an idiot but you don’t see me complaining.
Ryohei: Bold.
Ryuichi: I’ll take her.
AN: She belongs to Ryohei.
Ryohei: You refer to her as if she was an object.  Girls aren’t to be called an object.

AN: I am a girl.
Ryohei: …YOU LIE!!!!!!!!! YOU LIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
AN: …*mumbles* son of a-
Keita: ON WITH THE STORY WITH NO PROFANITY!]

Ryuichi picked a great time to come down from visiting Chiko for he caught Hisa and Ryohei kissing on the couch. “…Bad timing I think I might get sick.”  He ran back up stairs to hide in the bathroom.

Ryohei was shocked and was mind boggled.  He wasn’t expecting her to be so, open with him.

[Ryohei: Did you just say “open with him?”
AN: You need to get your mouth stapled
Ryohei: So do you.
AN: GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ryohei: Geh, I’m going to the cheese bar.]

As they slowly pulled away Hisa turned bright red and mumbled, “I’m sorry I have no right to do that. I-“

“So, where does this put us?”

“…Nani?”

“I have been kissed and you shall be my squishy.”

“…Excuse me?”

“Will you be my girlfriend?” Hisa starred at him and slowly turned her head away. “…Is that a no?”

“Well, you see, as a girlfriend, I would like to receive flowers, dinner maybe? I don’t know we haven’t done any of that yet.”

“You’ll be dating me.”

“You make it sound like it’s something godly.”

“I am godly I am loved by the great Hisa-hime.”  Hisa giggled and turned towards him with the redness still in her cheeks.

“You’re so silly! Of course I’ll be your girlfriend!”  Ryohei sighed slighty and relaxed inching closely to his new found love.

Without a moment to lose Ryuichi came bursting in from his hiding spot of the bathroom and sat on the one seat couch. “So you guys together yet?”  He asked as if it was no big deal.

“Where you spying?”

“I saw, I ran, I hide, I passed by to see you two very close together.”

“I see.” Without a moment to lose, Ryuichi got comfortable and fell asleep only to be awake by a very angered Keita.

“We are leaving NOW.”  As Keita slowly made his way towards the door with two guys tagging along behind him in a slow motion.  No one wanted to tick off a mad Keita.  It was bad enough he was mad already.

Long Road

-CHAPTER 13-

Since the day of Keita and Haniko’s argument, although, Keita was doing the argument and Haniko was doing the explanation.  Keita had gone home dragging Ryuichi and Ryohei home vowing never to come to their house again.  He needed time to think.  He needed time to realize that maybe he had done something wrong.

“Keita you can’t drink through your eyes so try drinking through you MOUTH.  Orange juice is good for you.”

“Shut up I’m thinking.”

“…WOAH… *roar* tsk tsk you shouldn’t yell at me for being a paparazzi towards Haniko.”

“Do you even KNOW what paparazzi IS?”

“…no but at the moment in time that I said that sentence it sounded like a word to be used.”

“Ryuichi go away.”

“Sounds like girl trouble.”

“Go away."

“You miss her?”

“GO away.”

“You love her?”

“Go away.”

“Do you think yellow makes me fat?”

“GO AWAY.”

“So you DO love her.”

“GO AWAY.”

”I love yellow.”

“UGH!” Keita simiply got up and left the kitchen to get away from Ryuichi and his pointless questions.

“YOU LIKE HER ADMIT IT!!! YOU NEEEEDDDD HERRRR YOU WAAANNNAAA KISSS HEEERRR YOU WAANNNAA LLOOOVVVEEEE HERRRR *KERPLUNCK*”  Keita’s plastic cup that was once filled with orange smacked Ryuichi in the face. “Woah… with a man who is mad as the mad cow disease you sure have good aim.”

-Girls Apartment-

“Haniko? Daijobu?”

“Daijobu Chiko!  I think I just caught a cold that’s all.”  She laid in bed with the pillow clung to her chest.

“…Haniko? Gomen ne?”  Haniko spun her head around at the door that was closed before and was now opened with a sad Chiko standing at the door way.

“What for?”

“Today…”  Chiko looked down sadly.  “Today was the death of your mom.  I’m so sorry I just wanted to make sure you were feeling ok.  I know you don’t want people to know about this.  You always did like keeping things to yourself. Do you want to talk?

“Iie, daijobu ne Chiko.”  She gave a small smile to one of her few best friends. “She’s in a better place now.  She knows that and we should accept it too.”  She looked out her window and smiled slightly.  “Otanjoubi omedetou Okaa-san…”

Long Road

By: Julie Ching *Aiko Takashi*

-CHAPTER 12-

Keita walked around the small house where the girls lived and checked out everything while everyone else sat around the television watching a drama and waiting for Chiko to wake up. He was starting to get tired of watching Hisa drying her tears  from the sad drama and Ryohei tried to smoother her telling her it was only a show.  He reached the kitchen and looked inside.  Haniko sat at the dinner table with a cup of hot chocolate sipping away with her head held downwards.  He slowly walked up to her making sure not to make any sounds.  As he got closer he realized she was crying.  She took another sip and set the cup down with a loud *CLANK* she buried her face in her hands and she sobbed silently making sure no one heard her.

“Uso…” Keita stared at her. And thought to himself, “why is she saying it’s a lie?” As if feeling Keita’s vibe Haniko whipped her head around.

“Ke-ke-Keita.  Sorry, I didn’t see you there… I was cutting onions and now I’m all teary eyed, ha I’m so silly. Can I get you anything?”  Her puffy red eyes stared innocently at Keita’s worried ones.

“Iie, ne, demo, Daijobu?”

She silently laughed and turned to him with a bright smile, “Hai.” She gathered her mug which was once filled with hot chocolate and placed it in the sink.

“Why are you always avoiding me now?”

“What?”

“You avoid me every time or you started to get really mad or something what’s wrong? Was it something I said? I didn’t mean too if it was.  Did I do something you don’t like?”

“Keita, stop it.”

“No, I want to know! You can’t keep avoiding me everyday just because you can.  Tell me what is wrong.  We were best friends come on you can tell me. Haniko wh-“

“SHUT UP! YOU LEFT ME!”  Keita’s mouth gapped open.

“What?”

“Oh, so I see how it is now.  Just because YOU think you are all high and mighty you can hurt my feelings?  Don’t you remember a thing?  Anything at all?  Keita you left me.  You promised we’d be friends forever.  But you never kept that promise like you always did. What about me Keita?  And what you said about me being a pest.  Don’t you remember that? I know.  I understand now.  I was such an idiot.  I was useless to you.  I’m sorry.  I was useless to this world and the realization just hit me.  After you left,  Everyone started hating me.   I was physically abuse everyone hated me.  So many blamed me for making you leave.  I was hurt to.  But no one every understood that.  And after High school I knew I had to leave I needed to get away.  I needed you too.  But you obviously didn’t need me.”  Haniko took her chances and ran for the opening of the kitchen.  She needed to get out away from her “friend” she didn’t want to be near him.  She caused so much pain in her life.  She couldn’t put the blame on him only.  He was right.  She was a bother.  She was a pain.  She was an idiot. She was different.

-Back at the Kitchen-

Still in the state of shock. Keita slowly slid into one of the chairs near the only words that registered in his mind was, “I needed you too.  But you obviously didn’t need me.” He put his head in his hands and muffled silently.

“I did something really bad.”

Long Road

By: Julie Ching *Aiko Takashi*

-CHAPTER 11-

Haniko gets up to get the door, looking into the peek hole she sees all three w-inds. members behind the door.  “Hisa, it’s them.”

“Speak of the devils.”

“What do you think they are doing here?”

“Oh well, I don’t know could it be possible that SOMEONE became rather rational and attacked our phone and called THEM and now they are probably wondering why this SPECIAL SOMEONE did that, therefore paid us a nice little visit.”  Haniko looked at Hisa with a glare and then slowly she grinned.

“Or it could be, because RYOHEI wanted to propose.”

“SHUT UP AND OPEN THE DOOR!”  Hani jumped yanked the door open in the process of smacking herself in the face with the door.

*SMACK* “AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! IT HURTS ON THE INHUMANITY I FEEL LIKE SOMEONE JUST SMACKED ME WITH A LOG AT FULL SPEED!!!!! GOOD GOD!! KAMI-SAMA!”  she looked up at the three members and realized they were still standing there with expressionless faces.

“Haniko…”

“Daijobu!”

“I’ll see what I can do.” Haniko looked to the ground aimlessly she didn’t want to face the three members right now.  She couldn’t and wouldn’t do that to herself.  She needed to think that hit with the door really caused her some damage and she had the worst splitting heading in the world. She started to remember things that she didn’t even realized she still even had in her mind.  That hit really caused something to strike up in her. Something she never thought she’d think about again.

-Flashback-

Haniko was physically abused in school after Keita had gone off to his career.  She remembered the hardship and she remembered the day she had been hit so badly in the back of her head that she had lost memory.  Of course with some serious medical recovery she had remembered most of her life.  It never reoccurred to her that she was physically abused in school.  From both male and female population.  She even remembered swearing to herself that shell will never ever be abused again.

[sorry everyone I needed to make it at least SOMEWHAT entertaining I need to through something random in and this will by my random moment.  I honestly made that story from the top of my head. – Aiko ]

“Uso…” Hani silently cried. “Uso…” And without hesitation she silently cried remembering the hardships she needed to go through because her suppose to be best friend Keita had left her. “Uso…ja nai…” She fell to the ground as she silently cried.

Long Road

By: Julie Ching *Aiko Takashi*

-CHAPTER 10-

-Saturday Morning-

Haniko sat down for breakfast.  It was odd.  It was weird.  What was wrong with the house today?  Why does she feel so, WEIRD here?  She looked around Hisa was frying the eggs and making something else.  And Chiko.  Yes where is Chiko?  Fried eggs usually woke her up on Saturday’s where is she?  Is she sick?  She turned to Hisa slowly and asked, “Where’s Chiko?”

”I don’t know I heard her come home last night she never said anything and I was too tired to ask and I haven’t seen her all morning.”

“Good or bad?”

“She isn’t awake for fried eggs YOU JUDGE.”

“I’ll go see what’s wrong.”  As she walked two by two up the stairs she reached Chiko’s room door.  Knocking a few times to see if she was even in her room.  There was no answer so she just decided to peek in.  As she looked through the tiny space she opened for herself she noticed a lump on the bed.  “Chiko? Daijubu?”

A muffling soound came from Chiko. “Are you ok Chiko?”

A head popped out of the covers and replied, “I’m fine, sorry I came home late I’m just tired.”

“Oh… did everything go well?”

“Hai.”

“Great… Chiko?  Are you alright?”  Chiko turned her face to look at Haniko with a tear stained face.

“Haniko, I feel like such an idiot.”  Hani’s face widened.

“HISA GET UP HERE NOW AND TURN OFF THE STOVE!!!”  She rushed to Chiko’s side to soothe her and help her.  “Chiko?  What’s wrong? Why are you crying?  Did he try to move on you?  I’ll kill him if he did!”

“No, his girlfriend was there.  He never planned on inviting me, it was all his girlfriends idea.  She just wanted to toy with me.”  Hisa was in the room already as she finished the last sentence.

“Those, ARGGGH!!!!!! WHY THAT LITTLE…”

“I’ll be back I’m going to get this straighten out.”  Haniko raced downstairs.  While Chiko tried to chase after her.

“Haniko! Don’t call them!”  She didn’t listen and it was already to late, Haniko was fed up with the twins silliness to break people down.  No one ever broke Chiko’s heart this badly she never cried even if she was in pain and this has obviously broken her down completely.

The phone rang at the guys house and Keita picked up.  “Keita speaking.”

“Where are they?”

“What?”

“Where is Saki and Saka!?!??!”

“Who ARE you?”

“Haniko now tell me where they are!”

“I- well- I don’t know.”

“YOU’RE HER BOYFRIEND!”

“I have no charge on where she goes.”

“Will she be there later?”

“What’s it to you?”  Keita was getting annoyed, why was haniko so upset?

“TELL ME NOW.”

“I DON’T KNOW!”  Haniko stopped yelling.  Yes, Keita and her got into fights when still in High School, but she never thought she would raise her voice at him and him at her.  She stopped yell and even stopped talking.

“I’m sorry, Keita.”  She hung up fast and looked at the open door of Chiko’s room.  She slowly walked to the door and entered.  She sat on Chiko’s bed trying to cheer her up.

“Did you call him?”

“I called but I didn’t do anything.”  She leaned her head on Chiko’s and thought herself too.  Because of her stupid mistakes all her favored people are upset and uphappy it was all her fault.

- w-inds. Home -

Keita starred at the phone after being hung up by Haniko. “What was THAT FOR!?!?”  Ryuichi and Ryohei popped there heads up from the couch and looked at Keita.

“Whats up with you? And who was that?”

“Haniko, she was asking for Saki and Saka.  She sounded really really really mad.”

“So?”

“I don’t know where they are.”

“I wonder what they wanted them for?”

“You want to pay them a visit?”

“Who?”

“Haniko and them.”

“Why?”

“Oh nevermind I will!”  Ryohei got up from the couch to get changed getting ready to go and visit the girls.

“Ok, I’ll come I guess.”  Keita walked to his room and Ryuichi without a word slowly walked to his.  He wasn’t planning on spending Saturday all by himself.

- Girl’s Home -

Haniko went downstairs to get Chiko a glass of water after thirty or so minutes of sitting there the girls realize that she had a fever.  A high one at that and that was probably one of the reasons why she didn’t go down for anything.

As she got the glass she heard the TV being turned on figuring it was Hisa just watching some television.  She brought the water up to Chiko and came back down to watch TV too.  A few minutes pass and finally Hisa spoke up.

“Do you think, they hate us that much?”

“Who?”

“The twins.” Haniko turned to Hisa and smiled.

“I’m sorry, Hisa that I got you and Chiko into this.  The twins always hated me.”

“Why?”

“Well as you know I went to school with Keita.  I went to school with them too.  They always hated me because I was his best friend.  But, obviously now  that I’m barely considered his friend anymore they obviously want to make sure I keep away from him.  So they do these stupid things just to make sure I get no where near him.”

“That’s so stupid!”

“They’re stupid.”

“True.”  Right at that moment the door bell rings.
